The Balaton Uplands wine region is an increasingly emerging wine region on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, next to Badacsony and Füred-Csopaki.
Many do not even know that it consists of three garnishes, the Kali, the Cserszeg and the Edericslesence districts.
The grape varieties grown in these areas are similar to the Badacsony wine region. Leading grape varieties with whites are the Italian Riesling, the Gray and the Muscat Ottonel, the popular rosé is the Pinot noir.
Kovács Winery is a family business where grandparents, children and grandchildren work together.
They cultivate a total of 4 hectares of vineyards, which is located in one of the most beautiful regions of the Balaton Uplands wine region, the Lesence Valley.
Our main varieties are Italian Riesling, Rhine Riesling, Gray-friendly, Chardonnay, Cserszeg Spicy, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blue Franconian. We make fruity, varietal wines in a reductive style, which are accompanied by a rich content.
The acids are firm, firm, refreshing, even in warmer vintages.
